• Fort Gates Ferry - South of Palatka lies Welaka where you can cross the St. Johns River on the Fort Gates Ferry, the oldest operating ferry in Florida.

• Mount Royal Site - Indian Mound - In St. Augustine, the Tolomato Cemetery on Cordova Street was the site of a Christian Indian village during the First Spanish Period. It was turned into a cemetery in 1777. In Crescent City, off State Road 209 in Putnam County, Mount Royal Indian Temple Mound is Florida's largest sand mound and was a ceremonial center for Indians all over the region.
